“Connor and I met while studying in college. I was shy.. but Connor was persistent “and kept asking me to dinner... I finally agreed and we really hit it off. We had been both planning on studying abroad - before we decided to start to "officially " date, and ended up at University College Cork together. We fell in love while in Ireland and knew we had to come back to get married.”

About the proposal…

One of our favorite places to visit is Nantucket. Connor planned a weekend away to the island, and asked me to go for a walk. I unfortunately, was coming down with the flu... but reluctantly agreed at Connor's urging, telling me the fresh air would "make me feel better." We walked to Brant Point Lighthouse and Connor got down on one knee and proposed!

We chose our wedding venue because...?Connor and I fell in love with all of Ireland, but especially the beautiful countryside. We found Castle Durrow during an online search, and when we went to visit, it exceeded our expectations. The Castle itself felt so warm and all of the staff were so welcoming. The food was exceptional and the grounds were just breathtaking.

What was your favourite part of the day?

Christina: I loved walking down the aisle and seeing Connor waiting for me! It was such a special moment. And I have to say dancing all night and celebrating with all of our family and friend's is something I will never forget!

Conor: The entire day was incredible and will be a memory which I will cherish forever. It was so special for Nina and I to say ‘I Do’ in such a gorgeous Irish setting amongst 70 of our closest friends and family. Everything from the church, the venue at Castle Durrow, and the company was perfect; I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding – nor a better woman to share it with! The Bentley Boys music selections really jived with our musical preferences, and I will never forget the group dancing the night away until 2AM!

Any advise for couples getting married soon?

Enjoy every second of the day! And try and take a moment alone with each other to really take in everything around you.
