Lauren and Michael met at Queen's University as students and then went backpacking together around Australia for a year. While travelling through Japan Michael popped the questions on top of the rollercoaster in Disneyland, Tokyo. After a 16 month engagement they got married in October 2015 in Rathfeigh Church followed by a reception at Ballymagarvey Village. Lauren wanted an autumn themed wedding with a beautiful colour palette of rich reds, golds and browns. Her stunning weddings dress came from Petticoat Land in Hillsborough and featured a lace and sequence sheer back which was a joy to photograph. The couple celebrated their wedding at Ballymagarvey, while the morning bridal prep took place at Bellinter House. Michael and Lauren fell in love with the 'home from home' feel of Ballymagarvery as well as the beautiful surroundings with great Autumn colours. This couple were so amazing to photograph; they really let themselves go and you could tell they were enjoying every second of their day! Lauren danced out of the church door she was so happy and they never wiped the smile from their faces the entire day. There was so much emotion to capture on camera; Lauren's Dad wasn't the only one shedding a tear when it came time for him to give his daughter away! The singing in the church was unreal; Lauren's bridesmaid Jolene and her sister Phillipa sang together beautifully and everyone sang along just like at a concert. Magic! Lauren's Mum and sister were such a support on the day and during the lead up to the wedding. Lauren's advice to other brides; "learn to delegate". I really enjoyed capturing their day; they were so easy to work with and open to suggestions; Lauren even kicked off her heels to hop the fence so we could get some scenic shots in the nearby fields. The whole photo shoot was so realxed and that's how I like to keep it, chatting and having fun as the couple sip cocktails or champagne!
